The Guest

Each day is like a beautiful guest house

You never know who will show up

As host you welcome them

Create a safe place to refresh, rest, enjoy

Open doors, reveal windows

Display the new day

Feel the fresh breeze

Let in the sunshine, fill the room

Feel a flood of joy!

Start the day like a joyful ride

The dust of days past floats in the air

Breathed in and out, but un-noticed.

Send guests out to absorb the day

Feel the surroundings

Soak up newness

See opportunities

Allow each to flow out the doors

Look beyond the windows

Fly free through the yard and into the unknown

Where rivers flow, souls come together

Healing happens.

As a host you welcome them all,

So they can return

To a cocoon, a nest, a safe place

A sun-filled space.

And then to go out again and explore.
