Buy a Villa for $1

First you buy a villa in Italy for 1$.
Then you do a quick inventory of the work needed.
Realize that the pipes are lead and must be replaced!
But the view! Fantastic!
Realize that there is no water pressure. This leaves you with the choice to take a bath for the rest of your natural life, or have the pipes replaced all the way to the water source!
But the view! OMG! it is incredible!
Realize that the water source is a sistern that has not been cleaned or refreshed since 560BC.
Next step after cleaning the sistern, is to decide what to do with the 299 frogs, 4,000 tadpoles and just under a million mosquitos you have just displaced.
Pay in Euros the cost of the exterminator for removing the aquatic life from the sistern. Find a place to locate the new water purification system.
The view! I tell you is incredible!
Locate a plumbing company that functions in English (or close to it!) and is experienced in replacing lead pipe in rock and plaster walls.
Hire a laborer to clean up the rock, plaster, and lead pipe mess. Take it out of the villa, and dispose of it in an eco-friendly way.
Find out you need a permit to replace lead pipe, clean the sistern, install a water purification system, and haul off the debris.
Write a check, and did I mention the view?

More to come of this realistic experience with a 1$ villa in Italy. It's just too much to deal with in this one post!
