Now, all systems are go!
And that view, still fabulous!
Rework the floor plan, again! You must include at least three functioning bathrooms! What good is a fabulous view without bathrooms? That can't feel good?
Here comes the plumber, a little smug, yes? But to be expected as he has already changed the lead pipes, cleaned the sistern, created water pressure, purified your water, obtained a permit, and cut holes in almost all your walls. What him worry? He has all the time in the world! Now to create water and drains for new bathrooms! Piece of...torta?Now to just connect the new bathrooms to the septic system. Oh yeh, it also has not been cleaned since sometime before Christ, and is far too small for three bathrooms! How many people need to pee at the same time, anyway?
Cleaning a septic system that was designed by the Romans requires that the entire yard be dug up! So much for the ancient rock walls. They, of course were built directly over the septic area. No worries, we will just reuse the rocks!
So create new bathrooms and connect them to the now cleaned and upgraded septic system. And clean up the debris...again!
Discover you need a permit to expand your septic system and add ...THREE bathrooms!
Write a check.
Oh, yes, then there is the view. Foggy today I guess.
Did I mention that the property tax just increased? After all, THREE bathrooms!
But things are looking up! (Did I mention the view?) Now there are non-lead pipes, three bathrooms, a clean sistern and water purification system, a septic system, piles of rocks that will be new garden walls, water pressure and..repaired walls. All for 1$, right? well almost!
As you walk through your newly acquired villa, stopping to admire the view of course, you notice that the floors don't exactly line up, or even match where the bathrooms meet the bedroom or the hall.
So repair, and refinish!
Time to take a break, enjoy all the vistas, and take a deep breath of the clean, clear air. And is that Fall on the edge of the wind?
