Waves Crashing

Powerful force, lost and to be found.

I feel as though

I’m set adrift on the sea

My safe harbor

Is not meant to be

I feel the waves,

No stopping now

Still tossed on rocks

No resting, just don’t know how.

The harbor silted up

I am adrift

Waves are crashing over me,

My anchors cut,

I drift far and free.

I feel the waves

No stopping now

Still tossed on rocks

No resting, just don’t know how.

Threatening rocks along the shore

The harbors gone and lost to me

No safety beacons, smooth walls there

Just endless waves

Crash upon the shore

I feel the waves

No stopping now

Still tossed on rocks

No resting, just don’t know how.

A new harbor yet unknown

Horizon filled with clouds

Of long passed storms

And those unknown

As waves wash over me.

I feel the waves

No stopping now

Still tossed on rocks

No resting, just don’t know how.
