Just Light

Avoid the abyss. Run to the light!

Just Light

Someone

Opened the door

And pulled me in.

Was there a floor?

Or a drop off?

The abyss.

Too dark to see

No floor, just deep.

Uncertainty

Turning,

Turning.

Looking out.

Out of the dark

Back to the light

Where light shone in

Horizon only

Just a view in sight

Of open tomorrows.

Warm

Full

Visible

Why stay in the dark

And fear the abyss?

Where edges are unknown.

Leave uncertain

Cold and uneven

There in the dark

Run

Run fast

Run hard.

Back to the light

The door will slam

Cut off the fear

Leave the dark behind.

It was never a choice

Just a pull and a shove.

The ground is grass

Uneven but sweet.

Fall on it softly

Dark shadows full of light

Gentle. Certain. Comforting.

No edges, no fear.

No pulling here

No door to darkness

Just endless open softness

No abyss.

Light

Streaming in.
